Budget Details

The Budget Details page gives users the ability to manage every aspect of the project budget. You can add budget line items, view budget details, commitments and all invoices items to give you a definitive, real time view of the project budget, allowing you to report on the most accurate and up-to-date information. The Quick Cost Summary section provides a summary of budget components at a glance. For more information see Budget Details Page Overview.

  1. Click the Cost tab located in the Top Navigation Tabs.
  2. Choose a project from the All Projects menu.
  3. On the side project menu, click Budget Details.

Many of the procedures related to working with the budget can be performed by way of an automated cost process. See About Cost Processes for more information.

The following tasks relate to working with budget details in Trimble Unity Construct:

This section of the Budget Details page is displayed only after a budget has been approved. It contains information about the budget and its current relation to Actuals and Commitments. For more information on each column, see Budget Details Page Overviews

This tab is available only if the project currency is different from the primary currency.

  • Lists the currency exchange rates, when they were added, updated and deleted. If you are importing multiple rates, it will only display the most recent exchange rate.

  • Saves the history when the draft budget is saved with at least one non-zero budget item value until the budget is approved. The timestamp is displayed in your timezone.

  • Displays when the budget was approved, when the exchange rate was set, when a budget change was voided.

  • Click the Export to Excel icon Export to MS Excel icon to export all columns and rows of the Exchange rates history table.
