Create a Budget

Only one budget is permitted per project. When a project does not have an approved budget yet, the following message is displayed: "Your budget is draft". This message will continue to appear until a budget has been approved, even if you've added budget details such as line items and other data. You are still able to make changes to budget data in draft mode without fear that your data will be lost.

Once a budget has been approved, the dollar amounts cannot be changed through the Edit Details page. To change budget amounts post approval, a budget change is required.

To create a budget

  1. Go to the Cost module.
  2. For more information, see Access the Cost Module.

  3. Click the draft link.
  4. The Budget Details page is displayed.
