A subcontractor can take the following actions from the Submittal Register page:
- Add Items
- Add Items to Submittal Package
- Delete Submittal Items
- Import Submittal Register
- Send Items to Another Subcontractor
- Reply to Submittal Items
- Close Submittals
- Revise Submittals
Trimble Unity Construct licensed subcontractors with View Submittal permissions can take the actions implied by each of command buttons listed below. Users with this permission setting are able to see all submittal items, even if they are not assigned to them. Non Trimble Unity Construct licensed subcontractors have the same privileges except for the ability to send items to another subcontractor.
Subcontractor Action buttons
- Send to Sub: This button appears only for Trimble Unity Construct licensed subcontractors. Click to send the submittal item to another subcontractor for review. This will effectively update the Held By field with the name or email address of the recipient; indicating that the item in now in their court. - Reply: Click to reply to the submittal item review request. This option only allows you to send a message, but if necessary you can also attach documents to the submittal item and add comments. For instructions on replying, see Reply to Submittal Items.
