Edit Commitment Changes
When you edit a commitment change, you have the flexibility to make all changes to the commitment at once, saving you valuable time. Additionally, you can make edits to both the commitment change and the commitment item itself in one pass, a tremendous time saver, and a great help in avoiding keystroke errors.
In this procedure you also have the opportunity to take action on the change (request approval, approve, make pending/projected, etc.) and also make changes to details of the change such the reason code, change number or description).
To edit commitment changes
- Go to the Commitment Change Details page.
- Click Edit.
- Make changes to any of the Edit Change Details fields.
- Click Please Select A Line Item.
- Click the account code number of the budget line item you'd like to add this change item to.
- In the Change Amount field, enter the change amount of the change item.
- To add additional items to this change, click the Add Item link, and then repeat steps 4-6.
- Click Save.

To Add a Commitment Change Item
The Line Item dialog box displays for you to make a selection.
Although editable, the description of the account code/budget line item is auto-populated.
If funding sources are enabled on the account, you will notice that the budget line item funding rule automatically populates. Click the Funding Rule drop-down arrow to change this rule or click the Add link to create a custom rule for this commitment change item.
