About Workflows

Workflows are used in the Processes module and also as an independent entity required for Time Tracking. Please be aware the both workflows are accessed in two different areas of the product. Workflows can be created by users with Manage Workflow (Time Tracking) permission. They are required to use the Time Tracking module as they determine the route that time sheets will take for review and approval. Workflows should be created for specific roles or users, but you can also have an account default that will route all workflows in the same manner regardless of who is submitting the time sheet. The roles assigned to a particular workflow determine who can start it. For example, workflows assigned to project managers will be active when project managers submit their time sheets.
