About Commitment Item Custom Fields

In the user interface, commitment item custom fields can be completed when users are adding commitments, adding commitment line Items, or editing commitment details. If you make these fields required for your users, they will not be able to save commitments until custom fields are entered.
Display Options
In order for users to see these custom fields on the their respective tables in the user interface (Commitment Items, Commitment Changes, and Actual Costs), you must configure display options. If display options are not configured, users will still be able to complete these fields in add / edit mode, but the custom fields will not be viewable on their respective tables.
