Track Funding

Depending on your account settings, you can track funding on the budget level and/or the commitment level. If funding is enabled for budgets and/or commitments and at least one funding source is added, then users will be required to select a funding rule before any action can be taken on a budget line item, budget changes, commitment items or commitment changes. This way you can see how much funding from each funding source has been allocated to each budget line item and/or commitment. A Budget tab and/or a Commitment tab are located on the Funding Source Details page that allows you to see exactly how much money has been allocated from each funding source.

Likewise, the Funding Rule column on the Budget Details and Commitment Details pages allows you to quickly see all of the funding sources that contribute to the budget or commitment item.

To access the Funding Source Details Page Budget Tab/Commitment Tab and start tracking your funding

  1. Go to the Project Cost Summary page.
  2. For more information, see Access the Project Cost Summary Page.

  3. In the Cost menu, located on the left side of the page, click the Funding Source link.
  4. CostMenu_Funding Sources
  5. Click the title of the desired funding source. The Funding Source Details page displays. Click the Budget or Commitment Tab.
