Customize Template with Field Mappings

e-Builder field mappings are available to help you quickly capture data that is stored in the system into your template. Information such as project name, project contact, custom fields, various company information can all be automatically populated into your template. Using field mappings will help you save a lot of time when it is necessary to customize each various templates according to project specifications.

To customize your template using field mappings:

  1. Click the Setup link.
  2. In the Administration Tools section, click the module name you want to customize the template for.
  3. Click Mail Merge Templates . The Mail Merge Templates page is displayed.
  4. Click the Go to Mail Merge Field Mappings link.

To add field mappings to your template (using Microsoft Word 2007 ®)

  1. Open the template you want to add field mappings to.
  2. Place your cursor in the position you want to add the merge code.
  3. Click the Insert ribbon.
  4. Click the Quick Parts drop-down arrow, and then select Field.

  6. In the Field names section, scroll down and select MergeField.
  7. MS Field
  8. Enter the e-Builder merge code In the Field Name field.
  9. Click OK. The merge code is added to the word document.
  10. Save the document to your local machine.
