Add Project Custom Fields

Custom fields allow you to gather additional information that may not be covered in the project details, such as project numbers and project type. This data is used for reporting purposes. Although you can add project custom fields in Project Settings, it is recommended that custom fields are added through Global Custom Fields, which will allow you to add custom fields to any Trimble Unity Construct module or object. For more information on custom fields, see About Global Custom Fields.

To add Project custom fields

  1. Go to Project settings.
  2. For instructions, see Access Project Settings.

  3. Click Custom Fields.
  4. Click Add Field.
  5. Select a data type, and then click Next.
  6. The Custom Field Details page is displayed.

  7. Complete all necessary fields.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Review the details of the custom field.
  10. If changes are required, click Previous to navigate to the appropriate page and make changes.
  11. —Or—

    If the details are correct, click Save.
