Plan Room Enable Documents

Best Practice:

You can plan room enable entire folders or individual files. If you cannot ensure that all files in a folder are of the same document type and have the same custom field options, it is recommended that you update files individually, otherwise files will not be properly indexed.

  1. Go to the Documents module of the project you want to setup.
  2. Select the folder/document you want to customize for viewing in the plan room.
  3. Click the Properties link. The File Properties dialog box displays.
  4. Click the Custom Fields tab.
  5. Click the Document Type drop-down list to assign a document type to the file.
  6. In the Custom Fields section, click the drop-down list for each custom field and make a selection.
  7. In this step you are defining the jump-to-values that display in the plan room viewer. For more information, see About the Plan Room.

  8. Click Save.
