Manage Commitment Types Page
The following is an overview of the Manage Commitment Types page.
Add New Commitment Type
- Save: Click to save added commitment types.
- Cancel: Click to disregard changes. Unsaved changes will be lost.
- Commitment Type: Enter the name of the commitment type in this field.
- Description: Enter a description of the commitment type in this field.
- Use for master commitments: When Account Level Cost is enabled, at least one commitment type must be associated with this setting in order to create a new master commitment.
- Use Pay Application: Select this check box to enable the payment application feature.
- Allow $0 Commitment Change Line Items: You can configure a commitment type so that associated commitments will allow the approval of $0 commitment change line items. $0 commitment change line items might be needed for occasions where $0 changes must be submitted to reflect scheduled changes which do not involve changes to cost.
- Use for Project Sight SOV import: Select this check box if this commitment type is used for imported ProjectSight Schedule of Values. Note that the SOV import cannot be enabled if the commitment type is used for master commitments.
Commitment Types
- Edit: Click this link to enter edit mode and modify commitment type details. All fields for the selected row become editable.
- Delete (Link): Click this link to delete the commitment type located on the selected row.
- Save (Link): This link displays next to the Edit link when a commitment type is in edit mode. Click this link to save changes for the selected commitment type.
- Code: This field displays the name of the commitment type. In edit mode the name can be changed from this field.
- Description: This field displays the description of the commitment type. In edit mode the description can be changed from this field.
- Use for Master Commitment: A check mark in this field indicates that the commitment type will only be available for master commitments.
- Use Pay Application: A check mark in this field indicates that the commitment type is flagged as a payment application commitment. Click the Edit link to make changes. For more information about the payment application feature, see About the Payment Application.
- Allow $0 Change Line Items: A check mark in this field indicates that the commitment type allows the approval of $0 commitment change line items. $0 commitment change line items might be needed for occasions where $0 changes must be submitted to reflect scheduled changes which do not involve changes to cost.
- Delete (Button): Click this button to delete one or more commitment types at a time. Select the check mark next to the commitment type(s) that you want to delete, and then click this button.
