Edit Budget Change Item Page

The Edit Budget Change Item page allows you to modify the details of a budget change item.

Fields and Buttons

The fields and buttons located on this page are:

  • Save: Click to save changes.
  • Cancel: Click to cancel changes to the budget change item. All unsaved changes will be lost.
  • Budget Change Item Number: This field displays the budget change number and may or may not be editable. To make this field editable, the Auto-fill budget change numbers when adding budget changes check box should be selected in the Cost Control Settings.
  • Budget Line Item: By default, the budget line item this change item is associated with displays in this field. Click the drop-down arrow to select a different budget line item.
  • Current Budget Amount: This is the approved original budget and all approved budget changes.
  • Description: By default, the budget line item description displays in this field. This an editable field so you can entire a different description if desired.
  • Funding Rule: If funding is enabled on the budget level, this field displays the funding rule used for this budget line item. Click this link to open the Funding Source Distribution dialog box to see the breakdown of the funding rule.
  • Project Number: If available, the project number displays in this field. This is a feature that can be configured by the account administrator and will not automatically appear on every account.
  • Budget Change Number: The budget change number displays in this field.
  • Change Amount: Enter the total amount of the budget change item in this field.
  • Projected Commitments: This field displays the amount of projected commitments.

    Use Case: If the budget is controlled by the line item, knowing the amount of your projected commitments will help you not exceed this quantity when entering your budget change item amount.
