Create Template from Word® Document
If you already have a bidding message or invitation fax cover sheet prepared, you can simply upload this document to e-Builder and make it a template that can be used whenever needed. You can also add e-Builder field mappings to the document to automatically populate project information, company information or custom fields.
To create a template from an existing Microsoft Word® document
- Go to the bidding settings.
- Click Fax Cover Sheets.
- Click Add New Template.
- Enter the name of template in the Name field.
- In the Status field, select Active to make the template available for use. Select Draft to keep the template in draft mode.
- Click the Type drop-down arrow and select the type of bidding cover sheet you are creating.
- Click Browse to search for and select the Microsoft Word® document you'd like to use as your template.
- In the Project Assignments section, select the project(s) that you'd like to assign the template to.
- Click Add. The selected project(s) is added to the box on the right.
- Click Save.

The Fax Cover Sheets page is displayed.
The Add Fax Cover Sheet Template page is displayed.
If you do not specify the project(s) that will use this template, the template will be available in all projects.
