Add Cash Flow Template Page

The Add Cash Flow Template page is displayed when you click the Add button on the Cash Flow Template page. This page allows you to add additional cash flow templates to the account. For steps on adding cash flow templates, see Working with Cash Flow Templates.

Fields and Buttons

The fields and buttons located on this page are:

  • Save: Click this button to save changes to the cash flow template.
  • Cancel: Click this button to exit this page and return to the Cash Flow Templates page. All unsaved changes will be lost.
  • Name: Enter a name for the template in this field.
  • Is Active: Select this check box to activate the template. This makes the template available for use in the Cost module. If the template is still a draft, it's best to leave this check box empty so that no one can use it. Once ready, you can always activate the template later; see Working with Cash Flow Templates for detailed steps.
  • Description: Enter a description of the cash flow template in this field.
  • Budget Template: Click this drop-down arrow to select a budget template to set cash flow curves for.
  • Schedule Template: Click this drop-down arrow to select a schedule template. Doing so allows you to link budget line items to project schedules or master tasks.
  • Line Item: This field displays the budget line item number as it displays on the budget template.
  • Description: This field displays the description of the budget line item as it displays on the budget template.
  • Cash Flow Curve: Click this drop-down arrow to select a cash flow curve for the budget line items. Choose from the following options:
    • Manual
    • Linear
    • Bell Curve
    • Inverse Bell Curve
    • S Curve
    • Inverse S Curve

  • Schedule Link Type: Click this drop-down arrow to select a schedule link type to link the schedule to Choose from the following options:
    • Link To Project
    • Link To Schedule (This option only displays if a schedule template is selected.)
    • Link To Task (This option only displays if a schedule template is selected.) An additional drop-down arrow displays (Task) allowing you to select master tasks to link the schedule to.
  • Payment Lag (In Days): Enter the number of days that a payment should be delayed. This measure allows you to track when the check is written and has been submitted to the vendor.
