View Cash Flow Page

The View Cash Flow page provides details of the current or previous cash flows. From here you can make changes to the way cash flow curves are setup, update you cash flow by allocating funds and you can also make the cash flow you are viewing the baseline for the project. A detailed description of the fields and buttons located on this page is provided in the table below.

  • Save Baseline: Click this button to save the cash flow as the baseline.
  • Setup Cash Flow: Click this button to open the Setup Cash Flow page and set cash flow curves or each of your budget line items. Setting up the cash flow is the first step in using this function.
  • Update Cash Flow: Click this button to open the Update Cash Flow page and recalculate the cash flow based on different cost entities. The cash flow should be updated monthly, so you project how much money will be needed in the coming months. This button only appears for the current cash flow, and not for previous cash flows.
  • Cancel: Click this button to cancel any changes you have made. All unsaved changes will be lost.
  • Project: This field displays the project name.
  • Created By: This field displays name of the person that the cash flow was created by.
  • Last Modified By: This field displays the name of the person that the cash flow was last modified by.
  • Description: This field displays the description of the cash flow.
  • Date Created: This field displays the date that the cash flow was created.
  • Date Last Modified: This field displays the date that the cash flow was last modified.
  • Baseline: Yes or No is displayed in this field to indicate whether or not this cash flow is the project's baseline.
  • Show all previous months: If this box is checked, the past month's cash usage will be displayed.
  • Export to Excel Icon: Click this icon to export the cash flow to a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet.
  • Cash Flow Table:
    • Line Item: This column displays the budget line item number.
    • Description: This column displays the description of the budget line item.
    • Projected Budget: This column displays the projected budget amount.
    • Projected Commitments: This column displays the projected budget amount.
    • Estimate at Completion: This column displays the estimate at completion. It only appears if you have the Forecast utility enabled on your account. For more information, see Forecasting.
    • Actuals To Date: This column displays the amount of invoices entered to date.
    • Remaining To Be Allocated: This column displays the amount of funds that remain in the budget to be allocated.
  • Custom Fields Tab: If your account is using Cash Flow custom fields click this tab to update the field(s) as needed.
  • Notes Tab: Click this tab to add notes to the cash flow or view existing notes.
  • Documents Tab: Click this tab to attach documents to the cash flow or view any existing documents that may already be attached. If you have the proper permissions you can also remove attached documents from this tab.
  • Forms Tab: Click this tab to attach forms to the cash flow or view any existing forms that may already be attached. If you have the proper permissions you can also remove attached forms from this tab.
  • Processes Tab: Click this tab to attach processes to the cash flow or view any existing forms that may already be attached. If you have the proper permissions you can also remove attached forms from this tab.
