Manage Construction Divisions

To add construction divisions

1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, click Construction Codes. The Manage Construction Divisions page displays.
2. Click Add. The Add Construction Codes page displays.
3. Enter a 2-digit division code and corresponding description in the rows under the Code and Description columns.
   

   Up to 10 codes can be entered at the same time.

4. Click Save to add the codes.
   —Or—
   Click Save and Add More to add more than 10 codes.

To add classification codes

1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, click Construction Codes. The Manage Construction Divisions page displays.
2. Click Add. The Add Construction Codes page displays.
3. Enter a 2-digit division code and corresponding description in the rows under the Code and Description columns.
   

   Use the same grid that you used for adding division codes, but to enter a classification code, enter a code that is longer than 2 digits. The classification code will be organized under the division based on first 2 digits.

   Example:

   Enter the code "08 30 00" to create a classification code 08 30 00 that will be listed under Construction Division 08.

4. Click Save to add the codes.

   Click Save and Add More to add more than 10 codes.

To edit construction divisions

1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, click Construction Codes. The Manage Construction Divisions page displays.
2. Click Editbeside the construction division name. The Edit Construction Division page displays.
3. Change the values in the Construction Code or Description field, as needed.
4. In the Renumber Classification Codes field, select Yes to renumber the first 2-digits of all the classification codes within the selected division to match the new division code.
   
5. Click Save.

To view and edit classification codes within a division

1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, click Construction Codes. The Manage Construction Divisions page displays.

2. Click the division code or description in the Manage Construction Divisions grid. The Construction Division Details page is displayed with the division information and the classification codes in the division.
   

   To edit the construction division itself, click Edit Division. To delete the division and all the classification codes in the division, click Delete Division.

3. Select the check box beside the classification code you want to modify, and click Edit. The Edit Construction Codes page displays.
4. Make the desired changes and click Save.
   

   You can select the check box beside a code and click Delete to remove it. If the classification code has been connected to a company, bid package or submittal, you will not be able to delete the code.
