Delegate a Step in a Process

If you are an actor in a step, you can choose to delegate a step in a process to another project participant. You can only delegate if there is not an action that requires a vote (or requires a majority or all to vote on the action to execute it).

You may choose to delegate a step because you do not have the time to address the item or could use some help to address it. When you delegate the step, you are granting this user to be a temporary actor. In other words you have given this other user absolute rights to act on your behalf as an actor.

The ability to delegate steps is only available if your e-Builder Administrator has enabled this feature in the Administration Tools (Processes > Manage Processes > Properties tab > Enable the Ability to Delegate Work)
