Color Codes
Color codes will only be applicable in the Bidding module if the manage codes feature is being utilized. Setting thresholds is another way to identify important sets of information, but thresholds differ from simple color coding because it allows you to assign minimum, mid range, and high range numerical values for each applicable area in the bidding module. Color codes are assigned to each threshold value to serve as a visual indicator when bid statuses have reached or surpassed certain thresholds. Thresholds have to be enabled in order to display throughout the Bidding module. Enable thresholds for each individual item by selecting the respective check boxes.
You can come back and modify the thresholds at any time.
The color code thresholds are applicable in the Bidding module for the following areas:
- Invited Bidders
- Pending Bidders
- Accepted Bidders
- Declined Bidders
- Bid Totals
- Awarded Bids
For each of these areas, you can set a value and corresponding color to represent that threshold.
It is recommended when setting thresholds to set them based upon your average bid responses. For example, you might want to set it up such that it shows red when the number of invited bidders for a particular construction code is less than 3, yellow if greater than 3 and less than 5, and green if greater than 5.
To set bidding color coded threshold values
- Go to the bidding settings.
- Click Color Codes.
- Select the check box next to each item you want to enable thresholds for.
