Announcements

Announcements allow you to communicate important information and messages to your team by displaying them on the home page.

  1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, expand Settings and click Announcements. The Account Announcements page is displayed.
  2. To create an announcement, click Create Announcement. The Announcement Details page is displayed.

  3. Enter or select the following required details (marked with an *):
    • Subject*: The subject of the announcement.
    • Body*: The body content of the announcement message. The following formatting options are available:
      • Numbered List
      • Bullet List
      • Insert Link - Select the link text in the announcement body and then click this option to add a hyperlink. After adding the link details such as the URL and link text, click OK to save the hyperlink.
        For more details on the fields in the Insert Link dialog box, see the Insert Link Dialog Box - Fields section below.

        To include a link to an email address in the announcement, select the link text, click the Insert Link button and then enter "mailto:" followed by the email address in the URL field.

      • Remove Link - This option will be enabled only when the link text has been selected in the announcement body.
    • Expiration Date and Time: The date and time at which the announcement will be removed from the homepage.
  4. Click Save.
  1. Click Setup. In the Administration Tools menu, expand Settings and click Announcements. The Account Announcements page is displayed.
  2. Click the subject of the announcement you wish to delete. The Announcement Details page is displayed.
  3. Click Delete Announcement.

Insert Link Dialog Box - Fields

The following fields are available in the Insert Link dialog box:

  • URL: Enter the target address of the hyperlink.
  • Link Text: The visible, clickable text that you select to add the hyperlink to.
  • Target: Select a preset target for the hyperlink or select a custom target.

    • Preset Targets

      • Same Window: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in the same browser tab.
      • New Window: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in a new browser tab.
      • None: When no preset target is selected, the linked page will be opened in the same browser tab.
      • Parent Window: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in the same browser tab.
      • Browser Window: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in the same browser tab
      • Search Pane: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in a new browser tab.
      • Media Pane: When this option is selected, the linked page will be opened in a new browser tab.
