As part of the plan room setup, you will establish the document types for the documents in your project. Document types are the first level of access to the plan room. All documents in the plan room are categorized by these document types. During the process of assigning document types, the custom fields created in the Define Document Custom Fields procedure display, allowing you to associate these values with different document types.
