Changes to the Bid Portal only affect the user interface for bidders. It does not impact the Bidding module that bid managers use inside the e-Builder application. The program functionality and bid package data are unchanged.

Impact

Once the Classic Bid Portal is removed from service, all accounts that have not switched will be changed to the Current interface. All bid packages will be automatically upgraded, and bidders will immediately view the new interface on the Bid Portal.

Alternatives

Accounts that are using the Classic interface can convert to the Current interface at any time.

If possible, select a date for the upgrade that is not during a major bidding cycle. If you are upgrading when bidding is in progress for certain packages, be sure to notify bidders ahead of time so that they are not surprised by the change in the interface. The bidders’ data will not be impacted.

Actions Needed

As the account champion or administrator, you should email e-Builder Support requesting their account to be switched to the Current Bid Portal interface. If no action is taken, the account will be upgraded during the 2Q release. If you are unsure whether your account has been upgraded, log in to the bid portal as a bidder in a test bid package and compare your bid portal interface to the images below. Or, contact your account manager or e-Builder Support.
