Trimble Unity Field for Construct v 1.7
The 1.7 release of the Trimble Unity Field app includes the following features and capabilities:
Take Action that Requires DocuSign eSignature
By integrating DocuSign's eSignature capabilities directly into the workflow, field users can now electronically sign and approve documents. This eliminates bottlenecks and streamlines the approval process. For example, if an inspector requires approval for a change order, a supervisor can approve it by electronically signing the change order document. This feature reduces delays and manual intervention, leading to a more efficient workflow.
See Most Useful Projects at the top of the Projects List
This feature allows users to prioritize and display their most-used projects at the top of the projects list. This makes it faster and simpler to find and switch between frequently accessed projects. This feature in the Trimble Unity Field app reduces the time spent searching and boosts productivity by letting users focus on their work instead of navigating large project lists.
View Activities In My Court Across All Projects
Users can now view a consolidated list of all "in my court" activities across all projects that they can access. Providing a unified view helps users easily oversee and coordinate tasks spanning multiple projects, which reduces the complexity of managing activities on a per-project basis.
Support Esri Map Cache Areas - Offline
Trimble Unity Field now supports offline map cache areas, giving users the ability to download map areas and access essential project data in disconnected environments. Now, users can visualize and interact with critical GIS data, including existing facilities, assets, and proposed designs, directly from the map. This ensures that users will always have the information they need in the field.
Support for Multi-level Field Dependencies on Dynamic Grids
Trimble Unity Field now supports multiple-level deep field dependencies within dynamic grids. This improves the flexibility and functionality of field workflows, empowering users to fully leverage dynamic grids to meet operational needs. Field users can manage and process data in a seamless manner with Trimble Unity Construct.
Remember Last Used Mobile Saved Filter
Previously, Trimble Unity Field users had to manually change the default saved filter every time they wanted to view a different set of work activities. The default saved filter was always enabled based on work assigned to the logged in user. With this update, the app now remembers the last filter used, saving time and frustration by allowing users to quickly resume their work exactly where they left off.
GNSS Metadata Update
In this latest update, the metadata for feature geometries are also captured and displayed on the location details page within Trimble Unity Field. The app leverages Esri's attachment capability to store GNSS metadata for lines and polygons, ensuring the metadata is associated with the features for future use.

The following issues have been resolved:
AppXchange
- Resolved an issue where importing a commitment invoice process with a retainage release triggered a “Retainage release exceeds cumulative retainage” exception. The system now validates retainage correctly during imports and scheduled tasks. (Case# 623307)
Cost
- Resolved an issue that was generating an error when a user edited a new-scope commitment change to use an existing commitment change. (Case# 624594)
Data Warehouse
- Replaced the short URL with the full URL in the 'document' fact job. (Case# 612276)
Documents
- Resolved an issue preventing people from downloading multiple files from a public folder page. Now the "Download" button above the grid works correctly. (Case# 621403)
- Resolved an issue where users were unable to move a process past the mail merge step if the Mail Merge template included the merge field "BudgetChange_AdjustmentAmount". Users will now be able to complete the mail merge without any issues. (Case# 623576)
Processes/ Workflow
- Resolved an issue that allowed users to attach duplicate process instances at the start step by updating the system to prevent duplicate attachments. (Case# 622518)
- Resolved an issue that allowed the attachment of duplicate draft instances by including them in the duplicate check for lookup fields configured with "Do Not Add Duplicate". (Case# 624388)
- Resolved an issue where budget change imports failed with an exception when the import included both invalid and non-existent budget line items. The system now validates budget line items before processing and highlights any invalid or missing items in the import grid as exceptions. (Case# 624872)
