Trimble Unity Field for Construct v2.1

The 2.1 release of the Trimble Unity Field app includes the following features and capabilities:

SOC2 Type 2 Compliance

Trimble Unity Field is now SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. This reinforces our commitment to high standards of data security and privacy, enhancing trust and credibility with all stakeholders. By adhering to these industry standards, we ensure continuous improvement of our security controls to stay ahead of evolving threats.

GIS Grouped Layers Support

Web maps used by Trimble Unity Field contain many individual GIS layers, which can be organized into groups within the Esri web map to enhance map comprehension and efficiency. By fully supporting these grouped GIS layers, Trimble Unity Field provides users with an intuitive and organized map layer list. This allows users to quickly and logically turn on or off visibility or selection of entire groups or the individual layers contained within. This improves map situational awareness, reduces map interaction time and complexity, and enables faster, more reliable decision making by providing immediate control over the map data.

Save image attachments to local device

A new toggle setting in Trimble Unity Field allows photos taken as attachments to be saved directly to the local device. This update eliminates the need to capture the same image twice, once for the app and once for the device gallery, making it easier to share photos through other mobile applications and improving overall field efficiency.

The following issues have been resolved:

Bidding

  • Resolved a bid tabulation export discrepancy by implementing bid item validation during bid submission. This prevents bids from being submitted if the costs do not align properly. (Case# 630634)

Documents

  • Resolved an issue that prevented JPEG files from being viewed on public pages. (Case# 633246)

Processes/ Workflow

  • Resolved an issue where a dynamic grid custom field was not appearing in the All Fields view. (Case# 633655)

Scheduled Task Engine

  • Resolved an issue with the notification service for a scheduled report. The scheduled report now runs as expected after being restarted. (Case# 635655)
